about me

I am a Norwegian male, born in 1963. I have been a scout for about ten years, starting at the age of 11.

My troop was 1. Fjøsanger in Bergen, and we had a sister group in Aberdeen, named 25th A Aberdeen - Beechchurch Grove - where the BBC television series was recorded. It was slightly weird when moving into a flat in Edinburgh in autumn 2000, I met an Aberdonian flatmate to be who had also been a scout years ago. In 25th A Aberdeen.

My working life has been varied. First within the shipping industry, for almost 10 years, working in shipbroking and operation of ships.

When the company I worked for at the end started selling their vessels, I got the chance of working for a golfclub just outside Bergen - Meland Golfklubb, at a time when they were to start to build their new course. This course has later been rated one of Europe's best, and was re-sloped again this year and given a course rating of 151, by far the highest in Norway. Whereas a high slop does not necessarily mean a good golfcourse, there is no doubt this course is a good one. It has also earned international praise for its layout.

The image shown on this page is an aerial render made in 3D Studio MAX of a proposed sunken garden next to a historic building named Poltimore House. The project was worked on in our second year of study at eca, a two week design project.
